What's Happening with Christian Values

1.  A column in the San Francisco Chronicle has “outed” the federal judge presiding in the suit filed by homosexuals who are trying to overturn the 2008 vote of the people of California for a state constitutional amendment to protect marriage.
 
“The biggest open secret in the landmark trial over same-sex marriage being heard in San Francisco is that the federal judge who will decide the case, Chief U.S. District Judge Vaughn Walker, is himself gay,” wrote Phillip Matier and Andrew Ross.
 
Wikipedia states that Walker was originally nominated to the bench by President Reagan, but his confirmation was delayed.  He was re-appointed by President Bush and confirmed by the Senate in 1989.  


What's Happening with Seniors

1.  While Americans oppose Obamacare 58% to 39%, President Obama and the Democrats are obsessed with trying to pass it.
 
The latest Rasmussen Reports found only 19% of the people are strongly supportive of Obamacare, while 48% are strongly against it.
 
89% of Republicans are against Obamacare, including 75% who are strongly against it.
 
66% of independents oppose Obamacare, including 57% who strongly oppose it.
 
But 72% of Democrats like Obamacare, including 37% who are strongly for it.
 


What's Happening with Conservatives and the GOP

1.  The Associated Press reported that the mood of the recent meeting of the Democratic National Committee was “despondent,” but Speaker Nancy Pelosi and President Obama remained optimistic.
 
In an interview with CQ-Roll Call, Pelosi was confident her party would “definitely” retain control of the House of Representatives.
